Beyonci asks her fans to back residents in Baltimore

Beyonci has become a part of an increasing list of celebs talking out on the agitation in Baltimore as well as their impact on the community. Earlier on Thursday, the US singer mailed the powerful cover of issue of Time magazine this week to her Instagram page, asking her 31.1 million followers to back the NAACPs attempts to help those affected by this weeks events.

The caption said: “People are hurting.

Join us in supporting the NAACP to help in the cleanup efforts and to provide housing, food and supplies to those affected by the unrest in Baltimore.”
Protests started earlier this week in response to the death of twenty five year old Freddie Gray from a wound he sustained from an arrest. Rioting in few regions resulted in looting as well as damage to the community.

The star has earlier used her voice to get attention to the deaths of unarmed black people by police. In  the year 2013, Beyonci and her rapper husband Jay Z joined Al Sharpton in disputing Stand Your Ground laws at a Trayvon Martin rally that took place in New York. The Grammy winning artist arranged a moment of silence at her concert on the evening George Zimmerman was discharged in the shooting death of the seventeen year old Florida teenager.

Meanwhile, Beyonci has seen a bunch of 3 aspiring singers and she signed the teen singers to deal – a total of US$ 1.5 million.
